Bats Alive: Express Celebrate Military Appreciation Day

The Round Rock Express gave a fitting tribute to our Armed Services with Military Appreciation Night.  The huge celebration included the First Pitch by Colonel Craig Flowers, recognition of WWII Veterans, the unveiling of a permanent POW / MIA Remembrance Chair, and the Swearing in of a new Marines.

And the Express capped off the celebration with a 11-3 victory over the Salt Lake Bees, coupling an amazing pitching performance by Eddie Gamboa and a no-holds-bar offensive explosion.

Leading the offensive charge was Jurickson Profar, going 4-for-5, with two doubles and four RBIs.  Following closely behind was Luis Marte, who was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle.  Marie also had three RBIs.  The always-reliable Ronald Guzman had two hits in four at bats, and score twice.
