Round Rock Over Powers Iowa

The Round Rock Express (9-10) powered their way to a 9-2 victory over the Iowa Cubs (9-10). Josh Wilson and Jared Hoying of the Express each notched a home run in the win.

Round Rock starter Dillon Gee (1-2) earned the win with five innings pitch. Gee gave up just two runs, only one of which was earned, on a total of seven hits.  Iowa starter Seth Frankoff (0-1) took the loss allowing six runs, on seven hits in 4.2 innings. 

The Express tallied nine runs on 12 hits.   Five Express players had two hits on the evening, including: Josh Wilson, Travis Snider, Jared Hoying, Cesar Puello and Doug Bernier.  The Cubs effort was made more difficult on four team errors:  Jeimer Glaesmann  (fielding), Tommy La Stella 2 (throw, throw), and Ozzie Martinez (fielding).
