Area Sports Suspended to Abate COVID-19

Professional and collegiate sports ground to a halt as the nation attempts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  This is a summary of what is affected locally: 

American Hockey League (Texas Stars) – remainder of season cancelled. 

Circuit of the Americas – MotoGP postponed, IndyCar Classic cancelled. 

Major League Rugby (Austin Gilgronis) - play suspended. 

National Basketball Association G League (Austin Spurs) – remainder of season cancelled.

Pacific Coast League (Round Rock Express) – start of season delayed. 

United Soccer League Championship (Austin Bold) - play suspended. 

University of Texas (all sports) – Spring sports cancelled

Texas State University (all sports) - Spring sports cancelled
