Express take Fire Ant alias, beat Fresno 3-0

Former roommates and teammates, Joey Gallo and Alex Bergman, met for the final game of the Express versus Fresno four-game series.  The highly acclaimed major league prospects were members of the gold-metal winners in the 2011 Team USA under-18 world championship.   The first three games clearly leaned in Bergman’s favor, going 8-for-14, against Gallo’s 2-for-9.  But Gallo turned the tables in game four, going 2-for-3, with a home run and driving in all three Express runs.  Bergman was hitless.  Pitcher Michael Roth was stellar for the Express allowing only two hits and going seven innings. Final score: Express 3 and Fresno 0.
