Favorites Advance in AVP Contenders Bracket

The higher seeded men’s teams all advanced in the Contenders (Losers) Bracket of the AVP Austin Open.  The winners take on the runners-up from the Winners Bracket second round.  The losing teams live to fight another day. 

Erick Beranek and Avery Drost (#10) overcame a slow start to defeat Lev Priima and Silila Tucker (#15) in three sets, 15-21, 21-12, 15-12. 

The #11 seeded team of Skylar del Sol and Paul Lotman easily handled #14 seeds Raffe Paulis and Jeff Samuels, 21-15, 21-14. 

The team of Tim Bomgren and Piotr Marciniak (#12) came from behind to defeat Dave Palm and Roberto Rodriguez (#12) in three sets, 20-22, 21-17, 15-23. 

Evan Cory and Bill Kolinske (#9) barely broke a sweat, taking down Caleb Kwekel and Martin Lorenz , 21-17, 21-17.
