Texas Defeats Air Force with Walk-off

The Texas Longhorns scored two runs in the ninth and one in the 10th for a come from behind, walk-off rally against the Air Force Eagles.  Dee Kennedy hit a 10th inning walk-off single to give Texas the win by a score of 6-to-5. 

The Longhorns trailed 5-3 in the ninth inning before Jalin Flores hit a two-run homer to tie the game up 5-5 and force extra-innings. 

Texas used six pitchers in the effort.  Relief pitcher Gage Boehm earned the win, closing the game with a scoreless, hitless tenth inning, walking one batter. 

Air Force’s Sam Hentges suffered the loss, walking one batter and hitting another before handing the ball to Gaines Estridge.  Estridge threw the ball four times, allowing two hits and the game-winning run. 

Jared Thomas led Texas offensively with four hits in six appearances.  Thomas notched a pair of doubles, drove in one run, and scored once.  Jalin Flores was 3-for-5 at the plate with the game-tying home run for two RBIs.  Kimble Schuessler and Rylan Galvan each went 2-for-5 with a double. 

Air Force’s Chase Spence led the Eagles with three hits in four appearance for two runs batted in.  Jay Thomason and
