OKC Wallops Round Rock

Big Picture: the Oklahoma City Baseball Club (67-60 clobbered the Round Rock Express (62-63) by a final score of 13-to-1.
Little Picture: Two-time Cy Young award-winner and rehabing Texas Rangers pitching ace Jacob deGrom pitched two flawless innings, allowing no hits nor runs and striking out two batters on 24 total pitches.
deGrom was relieved by fellow rehabbing Ranger Josh Sborz. Sborz allowed no hits nor runs in one inning on the mound.
The Express scored their only run of the game while the rehabbing Rangers where on the mound. Their game fell apart after that.
Express reliever Adrian Sampson followed Sborz and looked solid for three innings, allowing two runs on four hits. The game turned for the worse in the seventh inning when he allowed five additional runs. Surprisingly, only one of the seven total runs against Sampson was earned. He walked one batter and struck out six. Sampson (8-9) suffered the loss in 3.2 innings on the mound.
OKC tallied a total of seven runs in the seventh inning, and added four runs in the ninth.
The Baseball Club was led by Dalton Rushing with three hits, two for home runs, and five runs batted in. Kody Hoese went 3-for-5 at the plate with three RBIs.
The Express sole run came off the bat of Sandro Fabian on a fielder’s choice.
OKC sent five pitchers to the mound in the effort. Michael Grove (1-0) took home the win, giving-up one hit in two innings and striking out two batters.
