LOVB Austin Wins Inaugural League One Volleyball Championship

LOVB AUSTIN WINS THE INAUGURAL LEAGUE ONE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP (April 13, 2025)

After struggling earlier in the season, LOVB Austin finished strong to claim the Inaugural Champion in League One Volleyball (LOVB) played on April 13th in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Here’s a breakdown of the LOVB Championship match between LOVB Austin and LOVB Omaha:

Match Result: LOVB Austin defeated LOVB Omaha 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-23) to win the inaugural League One Volleyball (LOVB) title.

Key Statistics and Performances:

LOVB Austin:

o   Dominated statistically, leading in most categories.

o   Significantly out-blocked Omaha 16-3.

o   Had a much higher attack efficiency: .360 compared to Omaha’s .217.

o   Setter Carli Lloyd was named Player of the Match with 45 assists, 9 digs, and 6 points.

o   Outside hitter Logan Eggleston had a season-high 22 points (17 kills, .469 attack efficiency, 5 blocks).

o   Opposite Madisen Skinner scored 21 points (17 kills, 4 blocks) and added 5 digs.

·       Madisen Skinner (LOVB Austin) was named the LOVB Finals MVP after leading all players with 73 points across the three matches (63 kills, .277 attack percentage, 6 blocks, 4 aces) and adding 22 digs.

Additional Notes:

·       LOVB Austin reached the championship after winning two previous five-set matches.

·       This match concluded League One Volleyball’s first professional season, which included 48 regular season matches and the LOVB Classic, a midseason tournament won by LOVB Houston.
