Stars Close Out Season with Team Photo
April 17, 2025The Texas Stars took time for the annual team photo as they close out the 2024 / 2025 season with their final series against the Manitoba Moose.
The Stars look to enter the Calder Cup Champions as the #2 seed in the Central Division bracket, earning a first-round bye and expecting to face the Grand Rapids Griffins in the Division Semi-finals best-of-five series.
The annual gathering was noteworthy on several fronts. Thirty-three players were on the end-of-season roster, surpassing the prior record of 28 players.
The occasion also saw forward Matej Blumel selected to the 2024 – 25 AHL First All-Star Team, an honor bestowed on a vote by coaches, players and media representing the leagues 32 member cities. Blümel joins Travis Morin (2013-14), Colton Sceviour (2013-14), Mavrik Bourque (2023-24) and Logan Stankoven (2023-24), as the players from Texas who have been featured on the AHL’s First All-Star Team.
In a similar fashion, forward Justin Hryckowian was selected to the 2024 – 25 AHL All-Rookie Team. He becomes the fourth Texas player all-time to earn a spot on the AHL All-Rookie Team, joining Curtis McKenzie (2013-14), Riley Damiani (2020-21) and Logan Stankoven (2023-24).
