Austin Spurs Draft Day Party welcomes new Players

The Austin Spurs hosted a NBA D-League draft party at the Main Event Sunday afternoon.  A room full of fans, some dressed in Halloween attire, attended the party.  The real action, however, was behind closed doors as the Spurs, led by Coach Ken McDonald, completed the roster for the upcoming season.

The Spurs selected forward Maurice Bolden with the 18th pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA D-League Draft.   Following rounds resulted in the selection of Danny Stewart, Charles Garcia, Kevin Anderson and Alexis Wangmene.  The draftees will join returning players Jarell Eddie and Demetri McCamey, along with recent San Antonio Spurs training camp participants Ryan Arcidiacano, Livio Jean-Charles, and Pato Garino.  All players report to camp on November 2 for an abbreviated training.   Also reporting to camp are local player tryout participants Jeff Ledbetter, Darius Rice and Shaquille Thomas.

The roster will be trimmed to ten players before the first game on November 13 against the Oklahoma City Blue at the HEB Cedar Park Center.
