Cedar Ridge overpowers McNeil in Class 6A High School Football

The Cedar Ridge Raiders, the 9th ranked team in the state and the 59th in the nation, overwhelmed the McNeil Mavericks in Friday night football.  McNeil began the game strong, looking like a contender and first scoring on a 41-yard pass from Parker McNeil to Jordan Kerley.  The Mavericks continued to push as the Raiders took most of the first quarter warm-up.  It was not until after the Raider’s second TD, a 9-yard run by C.J. Rittenhouse, that they a appeared like a synchronized team.  Cedar Ridge dominated through the end of the third quarter, when underclassmen got some playing time.  Final score: Cedar Ridge 52, McNeil 7.
