Corvettes take top three spots at WeatherTech SportCar Champion at Circuit of the Americas

The Chevrolet Corvette Daytona Prototype (DP) car dominated the WeatherTech Sportscar Championship at the Circuit of the Americas, taking the top three finishes. The competition takes place in four classes: Prototype, Prototype Challenge, Grand Touring (GT) Le Mans and GT Daytona. The Prototype class features the fastest and technologically most advanced cars in North America. They are specifically designed and engineered for the race track and look drastically different than a typical street car.

First place was takend by No. 10 Konica Minolta Corvette DP for Wayne Taylor Racing, driven by Jordan Taylor and Ricky Taylor.  The Action Express Racing team took second and third places, driven by Dane Cameron and Eric Curran, and Joao Barbosa and Christian Fittipaldi, respectively.
