Tulsa Golden Hurricanes take Creeds & Crests Volleyball Classic

The Texas State Bobcats women’s volleyball team came out strong in the championship match of the Creeds & Crests Classic against the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes.  The Bobcats dominated the first set, with 15 kills to Tulsa’s six, and took the set 25-15.   The Golden Hurricanes jumped to a 10-3 lead to start the second set, but a 10-4 run by Texas State cut the lead to one point.  The Bobcats stayed within two points, but Tulsa eventually took the set 25-23.   The Golden Hurricanes controlled the final two sets and took the championship match by a score of 15-25, 25-23, 25-14, and 25-17.  The Bobcats concluded their hosted tournament with a second place finish.  Texas State is now 3-4 on the season while the Golden Hurricanes improve to 5-1 overall.
