Dynavolt Intact GP Tops Moto2

The Dynavolt Intact GP duo of Thomas Luthi and Marcel Schrotter grabbed the top spots of Moto2 in the Grand Prix of the Americas at the Circuit of the Americas.  It was Luthi’s first win in Moto2 after a disappointing year competing in MotoGP.

Luthi beat Schrotter by nearly one-half second who was riding an identical bike.  “I knew the bike was fast all week,” Luthi said. “We just made some slight changes for the race, and I felt so comfortable.”

Schrotter clocked the fastest times in aspects leading up to the race.  Luthi was second to Schrotter in the practices but started in the fourth grid position.

Claiming the final podium position was Jorge Navarro of SPA Beta Tools.  This was Navarro’s first podium finish since joining Moto2 in 2017. He earned two Grand Prix victories in five years of Moto3 competition.
