Express Shut-out Grizzlies for Second Straight

For the second straight night, the Round Rock Express (64-44) held the Fresno Grizzlies (53-56) scoreless, winning 6-0.

Express starting pitcher Ken Emanuel (6-1) continued to impress, scattering 4 hits and striking out 6 batters in 5 scoreless innings to earn the victory.  Relief pitchers Ralph Garza and Felipe Paulino assisted in the win. Garza toss 3 hitless innings and Paulino 1 perfect inning.

Grizzlies starting pitcher Wil Crowe (0-1) stood for the loss, allowing 5 runs on 5 hits in six and two-thirds innings.

Round Rock challenged Fresno from the opening frame.  Chas McCormick dropped a bases-loaded triple in the right corner.  McCormick then scored on a passed ball, giving Round Rock a 4-0 lead.

The Express added to that lead in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Alex De Goti that scored Jamie Ritchie.

Ritchie pushed in the final run in eighth inning, drawing a bases loaded walk.
