Fifth Annual USA Boxing Georgetown Sterling Glove Boxing Tournament

The fifth annual Georgetown Sterling Glove Boxing Tournament was held this pass weekend at the Georgetown High School, hosted by Eight Count Boxing and Fitness.  The USA Boxing sanctioned event draws a broad range of competitors from across Texas.  The tourney was the brainchild of Herb Fulton, six-time world amateur boxing champion.  Coach Fulton believes that providing a venue to display the disciplines of boxing would be rewarding for both the boxers and charities alike.  Greater than 50 athletes were scheduled to compete in the event, in weight classifications ranging from 70 to 178 pounds.  Congratulations to the bracket winners featured in these photographs: Alberto Laguna, Jocelyn Shade, Demetrius Cosby, Darius Fulghum, Miguel Borja, Fabian Robledo, Isaac Chavez and Fernando Villareal.
