Liga MX Soccer Match: Morelia defeats Leon 2 - 1

Central Texas was treated to some of the best soccer this side of the Atlantic.  Liga MX, the top-ranked Mexican football league system, came to the Dell Diamond pitting the Morelia Monarcas against the Leon Copa.  The league is considered the strongest in North America, among the best in Latin American, and reportedly ranked 20th in the world.  Nearly 7,000 fans emoting the traditional soccer enthusiasm rocked the stadium in a way that isn’t often seen in baseball.  The contest was evenly-matched in the first half, with Morelia taking a 1-nil lead to the locker room.  Leon started the second half with an intensity that continually tested Goalkeeper Carlos Felipe Rodriquez.  With a coolness in the net, a strong set of defensive back, and a little luck, Rodriquez bent put did not break.  Morelia prevailed 2-1.
