Reckless Kelly Celebrity Softball Jam benefits Hurricane Recovery

Reckless Kelly’s Celebrity Softball Jam returned to the Dell Diamond for its ninth annual charitable benefit.   Proceeds from the event will aid in Hurricane Harvey cleanup efforts.  Over previously years, the Jam had collected greater than $350,000 benefiting area youth leagues, including $150,000 towards the renovation of Mabson Field in East Austin, Texas.  A 30 act, two-stage concert followed the game. 

This year’s participants included former Longhorns Ricky Williams, Cat Osterman, Quan Cosby, Kasey Studdard and Greg Swindell.   They were joined by form Major League Baseball all-stars Josh Beckett and Norm Charlton, and several water balloon-toting batboys.  Also joining the effort were local media stars Addie Broyles, Andy Langer, Anne Hudson, Brendan Anthony, Charlie Hodge, Eric Raines, Bob Ballou and Ricky Doyle.
