Round Rock over Colorado Spring before All Star Break

The Round Rock Express (41-49) powered their way to an 8-4 win over the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (55-34) on Sunday night at Dell Diamond in the lead-up to the PCL All Star break. 

Round Rock put up four runs in the bottom of the third inning.  Drew Stubbs began the scoring with a home run (8) to right field.  Jared Hoying immediately followed with his ninth home run also to right field.  Third baseman Brett Nicholas singled and then scored on a home run by Ryan Rua (3) to left field.

Colorado Springs tied the game with two runs in the both the fourth and fifth inning.  Round Rock reclaimed the lead in the sixth inning on a Preston Beck home run (1), scoring Ronald Guzman and A. J. Jimenez. 

The Express added an insurance run in the eight inning on a single by Doug Bernier, driving in A. J. Jimenez.
