Spurs look sharp, bite Vipers

The Austin Spurs had a very short wish list on the eve of Christmas Eve… they wanted to win. The 6-and-10 Spurs faced the impressive 11-and-6 Rio Grande Valley Vipers, without the help of San Antonio Spurs assignees Dejounte Murray and Bryn Forbes.  And it worked, even without the special sauce from San Antonio. 

The core team showed poise.  Seven of the 10 players roster scored in double digits, hitting 55% of field goals and one-third of three points attempts.  And first game addition, Daniel Nwaelele, added
flair and poise with his play and an unexpected flip pass. 

If this is what the core team is capable of, then the special sauce should stay in San Antonio.
