Spurs Out-played by Hustle

The Memphis Hustle (8-6) out-played, out-shot, out-rebounded and out-scored the Texas Stars (8-6) 120-106 in a game that was difficult to watch.

Austin kept the game close despite their sub-par performance, trailing 57-56 at the half. Memphis exploded out the locker in the third quarter, leading by as much as 15 points.  But the Hustle shut the Spurs down in the final frame.

Two Memphis players threw up double-doubles.  Memphis Grizzlies assignee Ivan Rabb dropped 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds. And Tarik Phillip recorded 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Tyler Harvey added 26 points.

Nick Johns led the Spurs with 21 points.  Drew Eubanks, Lonnie Walker IV and Jeff Ledbetter each contributed 14 points.

Austin made only 24% of throws beyond the arc, was out-rebounded 39 to 50, and mustered only 10 assists. Memphis nailed 46% of three-point attempts and made 25 assists.
