Stars’ rookie goalkeeper has stellar first start

In stark contrast to the scoring bonanza the previous night, defenses for both the Texas Stars and Rockford IceHogs reigned supreme.  Texas Stars rookie goaltender Landon Bow started his first career game in the AHL.  Bow recorded 37 saves on 38 shots during three regulation and one overtime periods.  Rockford IceHog goalie, Mac Carruth, was equal to the match recording 27 saves on 28 shots during the same periods.  The differences came in the overtime shoot-out when Brendan Ranford and Travis Morin of the Texas Stars both scored.  Rockford was unable to find the back of the net in the shoot-out.
