Texas out-shoots Bakersfield but still fall

The Texas Stars came out with guns a blazing, out shooting the Bakersfield Condors nearly three-to-one.  Unfortunately a full house of 6300 fans was disappointed as the Stars were out-scored two-to-one.

Scott Allen of the Condors started the scoring at 13:01 in the first period, and teammate Jere Sallinen added another goal 30 seconds later.  Denis Gurianov tallied the first goal for the Stars at 17:32 in the opening period with a power play advantage.

Josh Currie scored what became the game winning goal for Bakersville at 9:05 in the second period.  Brandon DeFazio momentarily but the Stars within reach of the Condors with a power play goal at 15:25, but Condors added an insurance goal less than two minutes later.

There was no scoring in the third period.

The Texas Stars put up two goals on 46 shots, and Bakersfield scored four times on 17 shots.
