Texas Rangers selected contract of Drew Robinson from Round Rock Express.

Drew Robinson’s contract was selected by the Texas Rangers, effectively calling him up from the Ranger’s AAA Affiliate the Round Rock Express.  Robinson was selected by the Rangers in the fourth round of the 2010 draft.  The 24 year old Robinson progressed steadily through the ranks of the Rangers organization, unofficially earning himself the titles of “Tom Cruise look-a-like” and “player with the greatest outlook on life”.  Drew is one of the most versatile players in the league, having played every position except pitcher and catcher in 2016.   Robinson played in 125 games for the Express in 2016, batting .257 with 20 home runs and 17 stolen bases.
