Texas Stars trounce Rockford IceHogs 8-4

In the most productive night of the season, the Texas Stars found the back of the net eight times, as they skated over the Rockford IceHogs, 8-4.  Player of the game Brendan Ranford scored twice, and was supported by individual contributions by Mike McMurtry, Remi Elie, Justin Dowling, Gemel Smith, Brandon DeFazio, and Matt Mangene.  Rookie goaltender Landow Bow entered the game mid-way through the second period and stop 34 of 35 shots on goal.  Both teams play again tomorrow night.
