Texas State Mens Basketball stuff McNeese State, kinks aside

In a contest reminiscent of intramural league play, the Texas State Men’s Basketball Team (3-3) beat McNeese State (2-4) 80-to-68.  Temperamental fourth year coach Danny Kaspar had no one else but himself to blame for the team’s play, but consistently found fault elsewhere.  Despite all the negative feedback from Coach Kaspar, the team played reasonably well.  The team nailed 45.3% of field goals and 40.0% of attempted 3-pointers, compared to McNeese’s pathetic 39.3% and 20.0%, respectively.  Most disappointing was the body language of the Texas State players, who appeared to anticipate end-of-semester finals with great joy then stepping back onto the court.  Inside sources confirmed that Coach Kaspar refused to ride back with the Team after last week’s loss to UTSA.  It could be a very long season for Texas State.
