Texas State Secures Conference Volleyball Championship

The Texas State volleyball team secured at least a piece of the regular season Sunbelt Conference championship with their 17th consecutive victory.   The win gave the Bobcats their third-longest win streak in program history. It is the second Sun Belt title for Texas State, which won the conference tournament in 2013.

The Bobcats (22-5, 13-0 Sun Belt) dominated the University of Louisiana Monroe Warhawks (9-16, 2-10 Sun Belt) in route to a 3-0 rout (25-10, 25-23, 25-14).  The Bobcats led in every category with kills (45-24), attack percentage (.388-.055), assists (45-23), aces (8-4), digs (46-19) and blocks (7-5).

Halee Brewer led Texas State with 11 kills, freshman Emily DeWalt added 38 assists and junior Cheyenne Huskey contributed 10 digs.
