Wolves howl, bite Stars

The Chicago Wolves came out strong and fast against the Texas Stars Saturday night.  Chicago put up two first period goals by Samuel Blais and Andrew Agozzino, the later on a power play.   Texas scored the only goal of the evening on an effort by Ethan Werek late in the second period.  However Chicago put the game on ice on an early third period goal by Brett Sterling.  Connor Bleackley scored again for Chicago mid-way through the final frame.

Chicago’s goal tender, Phoenix Copley, made 27 saves on 28 shots.  Texas’ net minder, Justin Peters, made 20 saves on 24 shots-20 saves.

Texas play lacked passion.  The team is obviously tired and not satisfied with their performance this season.  It remains to be seen if the team can reach deep and turn their performance around in time to secure a play spot.
