    Texas State pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts against the University of Texas, but the Longhorns produced eight hits to beat out Texas State, 6-2.   Standouts for Texas State included: Ryan Newman, going 2-for-4 with two RBIs; and Tanner Hill, who also went 2-for-4, both hits were doubles.

    Milwaukee goalie Juuse Saros played a perfect game and shutdown the Texas Stars with 28 saves.  Power plays hurt the Stars, allowing Stefan Elliot to score in the first period and Max Gortz in the third,  sealing the 2-0 victory over Texas.

    2015 National Finals Rodeo Saddle Bronc Champion, Jacobs Crawley, finished second in Monday’s Saddle Bronc competition at the Austin Rodeo with a score of 80.0.  Topping the field was Allen Boore, earning an 82.0.   Also appearing was Crawley’s wife, Laura, who also finished second in the Barrel Racing.
